Boxing Day Sales & Saturday Kitchen

If you are off to the Boxing Day sales today, good luck and be careful, some of those sales shoppers are crazy mental. I have witnessed many fights in House of Frasers… Seriously it’s just a bag, it’s not really important that it says Gucci on it!

This might be the first year in a long long time that I have not ventured in to town for some sales shopping… That could change though as boredom sets in…

Another delicious winter warmer drink for this week’s Saturday Kitchen

1 1/2 cups almond/coconut/hazelnut/oat/rice milk (can be one or a combo)
1tsp tumeric
1/2tsp cinnamon
Pinch cloves
Pinch black pepper
Pinch salt (pink Himalayan or sea salt)
1tbsp honey (less if your milk is sweet)
Put everything in a saucepan, gently heat to approx 70deg (i use a milk thermometer)
Stir or whisk often to keep the milk from sticking to the pan (I have a milk whisk – best £5 I have spent in a while).

Tumeric is known for its anti-inflammatory benefits and adding the black pepper increases the tumerics potency making it work significantly better.

The cinnamon and cloves give it a warming Christmassy smell and taste (I will be drinking this year round though).

Have a good one

PS Gucci bags don’t make you happy long term (it’s you that needs to make you happy)

PPS There is only a couple of days left to snap up my Christmas special offers before the prices go up for 2016
