The problem is not how we look, but how we see ourselves

The problem is not in how we look but in how we see ourselves…

We look in the mirror and more often than not we look at the flaws… my hair needs done, I wish my legs / arms / tummy were more toned, look at the state of my skin…

Or we get some measurement results and everything but 1 number has gone down… and we focus on that 1 number rather than celebrating the success of all the other areas that have gone down…

I have spoken about this before… the fact that we need to be our own best friend…

We need to stop giving ourselves such a hard time about what we don’t like about ourselves and focus on what we do…

Those of you who have been following me for a long time now will have done this task before and now will find it much easier than the first time you did it (that my lovely warrior is progress).

Your task, this morning… make a list of 5 things you like about yourself. These can be physical – hair, eyes, smile, teeth, skin, ass, arms, whatever or personality, sense of humour, kindness, thoughtfulness… A list of 5, its not difficult BUT if you do find it difficult, think about what other people compliment you on that you quickly dismiss or why the people that love you do actually love you. If 5 is really easy and more come to mind don’t stop there, keep going until you can’t think of any more.

Keep this list somewhere that you can see it all day. Keep reminding yourself of all your awesomeness… Then tonight, another 5 (or more) to be added to the list.

Then tomorrow morning you are going to read that list and see if there is anything else you can add to it, same tomorrow night and each morning and evening for the rest of this week.

This week is all about making friends with yourself and focusing on your positives.

Have an awesome Monday Warriors

Jen xx
