Some Questions Answered

On Friday I had you thinking about if you were in a place where you wanted to change your work life or find a way that you could live with passion about what you do…

How did you get on with that?

I had a few questions through that I thought I would address in today’s email.

Q. What if I know that I have a knot, but I just don’t know what I am passionate about?

A. Then you need to take time to work out what it is that you love doing? What would you happily do all day every day whether you were getting paid for it or not? What do you do in your world that makes you happy?

Q. I know what it is that I am passionate about, I just can’t afford to give up my job to pursue it… How can I start to make that change, because I don’t actually dislike my job?

A. If you don’t dislike your job and there is no knot in your stomach then you don’t HAVE to change it. Maybe your job is OK enough that it gives you the funds that you need to let you live your down time living your passion. But, if your job is just OK and your personal time is just OK, you have to start getting honest with yourself. Why are you prepared to settle for just OK?

Q. How can the Warrior Woman Project help me over a 12 week programme?

A. Maybe you have no idea what you are passionate about, you have been so focused on your career and moving up the career ladder that fun, happiness, and you have been completely forgotten about in the pursuit of the next step up. Or, you have been busy looking after your family, making dinners, getting school uniforms and bags ready, dropping kids off at school then on to their after school activities and chasing your tail from morning to night that you don’t know who you are or what you want. Each week we systematically look at where you are, what is going on and how to get you taking the first steps forward. Maybe you already know what your passion is and you just don’t know how to get it in to your life. We work on a plan to get you there.

You can do this on your own or you can reach out for help. Either way you need to make sure that you are the one doing what makes you happy. It would be nice to leave that responsibility up to someone else and hope that they see how hard you work and how much you have sacrificed… I don’t want to be the one to break this to you but, they are too busy looking after themselves.

The choice is yours how you approach this, but either way you need to make a plan and take action.

This is the week to get that started
