It’s a bit of give and take

Yesterday we were looking at your level of happiness and doing things that make you happy and not other people…

I want to take this up a level, many of you will have downloaded my free 31 days of self-care which introduces you to things you can implement to your days in a simple way that look after you.

Some of the things will benefit you more on some days and not at all on others… Take meditation, I believe that it is beneficial to do daily, however, if you have a day where you sit down to meditate and it isn’t working and you are getting stressed out about not being able to relax and meditate, then leave it for that day…

Eating mindfully we should practice at every meal but if you sleep in for work and need to eat in the car on route to work then that is better than just not having anything at all…

What we need to remember the most when it comes to our happiness, is to forgive ourselves and not give ourselves such a hard time when we are not saintly… we are human, we are allowed to make mistakes, we are allowed to eat cake, we are allowed to change our mind.

For some of us coming in to the New Year we have hit the ground running, but we still need to take care of us first. Remember, when you look after yourself as a priority you are able to give 100% all the time.
