What do you do when you are feeling a bit down?
The other day I had been talking to someone about a personal training client and they pointed out something that when I realised it I felt it should have been pretty obvious to me…
That conversation had me doubting my entire career and qualifications, I wasn’t good enough, should I go back to the very start and redo all my qualifications… blah, blah, blah, negative, negative, negative.
I have 2 choices here, to continue down the negative spiral or I could make the decision to take action on my thought process… I took action on my thought process.
I scrolled through my podcasts looking for something inspirational to listen to when I came across an interview I had downloaded between Matthew Hussey and Kevin Winston (I don’t really know who Kevin Winston is, but he is some big wig networker in LA) what was important was a lot of the content of what they were saying.
I am not going to bore you with the details of what they were talking about because it was only really relevant to me in that moment.
What is important though is the finding something that shifts your mind-set and distracts you from your negative thought process. I was only about 10 minutes in to the podcast when I already was noticeably feeling better and I had regained my confidence.
That is one of the reasons that Funday Friday is important. If you have had a long week or even have a long weekend ahead, it is important to find the things you love doing, that make you feel good, that let you switch off from your ‘normal’ day and away from anything negative.
Have a funday Friday
