Day 29 Breathe

That’s right, take a big deep breath. Inhale, fill your lungs all the way to the very bottom. Exhale, empty as much of the air out as you can. Repeat 6 times.

Breathe she says, we do that all day every day without thinking about it…

When you do think about it you will notice that most of the time we have a really shallow breath only in to the top of our chests.

Breathing right to the bottom of the lungs does a few things, (I am going to get geeky here):

It gets more oxygen in to your system.

More oxygen means better blood flow.

Better blood flow means more nutrients can be taken to your muscles and organs to help them work better and more of the toxins can be taken away.

^^^ This can help boost your immune system helping fight off illness

More oxygen goes to the brain helping it clear.

After 6 breaths notice how you feel.

Relaxed, calm, clear headed.

If you are in bed trying unsuccessfully to sleep, this can help send you off in to some heavy z’s.

This breathing will also fit in to your meditation so you might already have this one nailed.
