Yesterday we were looking at your why’s? How did that go? Do you find that you are doing things just out of habit or just because you always have? Are there things in your day that you can now ditch doing?
Today I want to talk to you about balance and how we want to find a better balance in life. Part of the process of the Warrior Woman Project is to help you find better balance in your life, particularly if you have got stuck.
You will know if you feel stuck because you are doing the same shit every day/every week and not really getting anywhere or fulfilled with life. You could almost call it being stuck in a rut… You know the get up, go to a job that’s okay, come home, watch tv, sleep, repeat.
Or, you are so busy and caught up fulfilling 1 dream that everything else has gone to the shit, you have no social life, your health is on the brink of walking out on you, your friends have forgotten what you look like…
It happens to us all.
It is important to understand though that we can’t have perfect balance. The areas of our life that are important to us will cycle round in seasons meaning that there might be a couple of areas that don’t get as much attention as you would like to give them but you know that is just the case while you get over one hurdle.
For example, if you are applying for a new job or starting a new business, you need to put all your attention and efforts in to that to make it successful which means that your social life might get neglected a bit or money might be a bit tight for a while but once that is going well you can take a bit of a step back, reclaim some of your time and refocus your attention somewhere else.
The same if your health is not good, you might need to take time off work or prioritise some holiday time to give you time out.
If your fitness or weight is way off and that is making you unhappy then you might need to prioritise that over socialising for a short time until you get back to a place where you are happier with those results.
Everything needs to be changeable and you need to be able to prioritise what is right for you at that time in your life.
Taking a step back on a regular basis to see where you are, what’s going on and where you want to be is important.

Remember, it’s ok to let go and move on to something that feels more important… Trying to have 100% balance across everything will only lead to burnout and then you will be floating along at 5% for everything. Give and take…
