be grateful

Its not joy that makes us GRATEFUL its gratitude that makes us JOYFUL. 

How many things in your life are you grateful for?

Do you ever even think about it?

Do you even consider the small stuff? Your health, family, friends, job, house, car, holidays (they are not really small stuff but are probably things you take for granted).

There is always someone who is worse off than you. If you are feeling a bit down on your luck, sit and have a think about all the things that are good in your life. Write them down, put them somewhere you can see them everyday. As you find more things keep adding to the list.

Try and add something (at least one thing, but more if you can) every single day.

Bring some joy in to your own life just appreciating what you have,#wisewords #freedomintraining .

pissing yourself laughing…

Laugh until your belly hurts and then just a little bit more (try not to let any pee leak out – which won’t be a problem if you come to Pilates)
I love to laugh, it makes me feel good inside, it makes people around you want to laugh too (hopefully you are not laughing at them and with them).

They say that laughter is the best medicine. Any time I have not been well I crack out my box sets of Friends and Will and Grace to have a laugh. Recently I discovered Modern Family which makes me LOL too. TV programmes are fine, but time laughing with family and friends is so much better, Spend time with them, do daft things, talk about funny things that have happened in the past, have fun and laugh. #wisewords#freedomintraining .

small changes make big impacts

You will never change your life until you change something you do daily – John Maxwell…
Is there something in your life that just does not make you happy? Your job, someone who just makes you feel flat or drains you of your energy, the ironing (i have not ironed clothes in more than a decade).

Thing is if YOU don’t do something about it, nothing is going to change. The change can be something as small as not doing the ironing – there are people who will do it for you if it really needs done, yeah it will cost you money but think of the time and happiness you get for that money AND your clothes will be ironed too.

If someone brings your mood down do you really need to spend time with them? Can you avoid them? If not work out a way to tolerate being around them – don’t listen to them, learn how to switch off in their presence. If they really have a big impact on how you feel then you need to do something about it – you don’t need to fall out with them, you can still be civilized in their company but thats all…

Make your days about making you and your loved ones happy (with you as the priority).

Small changes will make big impacts.

March to the beat of your own drum. Follow your own path for your own dreams.

Its amazing how things fall in to place when you do.

The people you meet, the places you go, the things you experience. Some people will leave and that’s fine, they had their place but it doesn’t fit anymore.

When you follow someone elses beat nothing quite fits, some things are ok, bit just ok. Don’t settle, stand tall, listen to your heart And go with it.

Don’t live in the past, but remember the lessons

When you do look back, remember the lessons that will help take you forward.

Leave the pain where it was, its just a thought that will hold you back, slow you down and make the journey on harder.

Love yourself, be greatful for the good times and the bad, they make you stronger, they make you who you are and who you are not.

Make every day count

As tempting as it is, living a countdown towards the weekend, a holiday, a special event can sometimes mean that you miss some of the time in between.

Take every new day as a fresh start where anything could be possible.

Enjoy every day, accept every moment for what it is.

Look forward to the future without wishing your life away. Make it count. Always stepping forward, taking steps back and to the side when you need to to dance your way through.

Be brave. Take risks. Nothing can substitute experience

If something scares you, take a deep breath and step forward. Experience the excitement. Experience the power within from doing something you think you cant do.

Recently i had the opportunity to walk on broken glass, i chose not to, for me not doing it was my fear, saying no and risking being judged was so much bigger.

When you come to a crossroads take the one that scares you most, chances are it will be the one that will bring you the most experience (unless of course its a dark alley a d your chances of being murdered are high… That would just be irresponsible).

But don’t stay on the known path just because its the easy or safe route…

How often do you say or think ‘if only i was/had …. Then i would be happy’

Whether its a goal weight, new car/shoes/house in your head you can only be happy if you have it…

Have a think to how many times you have achieved something or bought something new… Does the feeling if happiness come back? If it does, then memories can make you happy, a sense of achievement can make you happy.

YOU can make you happy with just a thought….

Why search for happiness when its there all the time? Be greatfull for all the memories you have already made and all the memories still to come#wisewords #justathought #freedomintraining

Be fearlessly afraid

Be fearlessly afraid… To achieve greatness you need to do things that challenge you.

If something challenges you, chances are it makes you feel scared.

Approach that fear fearlessly.

Step up, step forward, jump off your (metaphorical) cliff.

When you are outside your comfort zone THAT is when change happens.

If it doesn’t challenge you, it doesn’t change you.

We have all been down our own shit creek and survived so far and we will continue to survive.
